I'm reviewing the story of my life
Most of it is awesome
But the plot has gone off track somehow
I sit here being lonesome
Sure, I have family, some live in my home
I hear their voices and see them
They love me that I know
And I call many friend
Yet there are those missing links
The children that I've lost
The husband who was my everything
They are gone and at a cost
For while I smile and show no tears
I'm determined to carry on
Not an easy thing to do
Part of the story just went wrong
Who writes this stuff, can't make it up
Is there a plan all laid out
It is good we don't know beforehand
What the plot is all about
I love most of the story
And the author is well known
I pray to him each night
To thank him for how I've grown
I'd have to rate this book with a plus
I haven't gotten to the ending
For all you reading your own book
God's Blessings I am sending
Challenge: Use prose or poetry to review a book that you don’t like for some reason. Write good (or at least lukewarm) statements about everything except ONE component, which you’re going to pan. It can be the plot, the character development, the writing, the illustrations/pictures, the font, or even the cover design. Use a real book or make one up.
